Residential Treatment Therapeutic Boarding School therapists are specifically trained and equipped to work with troubled teens, both boys and girls. Our therapists have a combined experience of over 50 years. They are the respected leaders of the overall Cedar Ridge team and are dedicated to our students’ academic excellence. Cedar Ridge Academy therapeutic boarding school integrates education and therapy in a comprehensive, collaborative manner, with our therapists leading the way. We believe that troubled teens who have a holistic therapeutic experience that encompasses all areas of their life (academic, emotional, behavioral) become whole, and healthy. The therapists at Cedar Ridge Academy are involved in every area of the student’s program. Our therapists are an integral part of the “team concept”. Cedar Ridge Therapists
Robert Nielson, LMFT
Rob earned his B.S. in psychology from Southern Utah University and his M.S. in Counseling and Educational Psychology with a Marriage and Family Therapy emphasis from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He is also an experienced, analytical Hypnotherapist. Learn more about Hypnotherapy by clicking here. He has worked therapeutically with youth since 1991. He oversees the clinical/therapeutic component of Cedar Ridge.
Brent Crane, LMFT
Brent earned his B.A. in Marriage, Family, and Human Development and an M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Brigham You
| Charles Crane, LMFT
Charles received his Bachelor of Science in Family, Consumer, and Human Development from Utah State University-Uintah Basin in 2005. While doing so he worked at Cedar Ridge Academy as in home staff. Heatherly Gardner, CSW/CFLE
Heatherly earned her Bachelors of Science in Family, Consumer, and Human Development and Masters of Social Work from Utah State University. Heatherly is a Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) and SandPlay Therapist who also enjoys teaching Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY), an empirically validated, adjunctive clinical treatment for complex trauma or chronic, treatment-resistant PTSD.
