Troubled teens in our society today participate in a variety of abusive behaviors, and these behaviors often cause a number of problems in their lives. It is critical to first locate the cause of abusive behavior before attempting to solve it. At Cedar Ridge Academy, our therapeutic boarding school for troubled teens addresses all of the abusive behaviors that troubled teens struggle with, such as anger outbursts, substance abuse, depression, and many others. Many adolescents today fall victim to the many negative influences that our society has to offer. They have, so to speak, become a product of their environment. It is critical to these teenager’s recovery that they are completely removed from their familiar, harmful surroundings in order to begin to truly change. Many troubled teens struggle with drug or alcohol abuse issues, which typically lead to a number of other problems.
Excessive drug or alcohol abuse can lead to severe anger problems in adolescents, as their judgment and thinking-process are clouded. This leads to verbally abusive behavior, which can lead to problems in the classroom, at home, and legally. Drug or alcohol abuse can often lead to deep depression and possible suicidal thoughts. Whatever the abusive behavior that a troubled teen is struggling with, it is important that they receive help to correct it as soon as possible.
Cedar Ridge Academy: Helping Troubled Teens Correct their Abusive Behaviors
At Cedar Ridge Academy, our therapeutic boarding school is designed to help troubled teens address any and all of the abusive behaviors they may be struggling with. We require our students to stay physically active with programs such as our karate therapy. We believe that regular exercise helps students improve their self-esteem, and approach their issues with a clear, serene state of mind. This helps them realize a need to change, enabling them to make profound, lasting changes in their lives. Please give us a call with any questions or concerns you may have regarding our program here at Cedar Ridge Academy at 866-471-6629.
