Program Director/Owner

Robert Nielson, Marriage and Family Therapist.  Rob earned his B.S. in psychology from Southern Utah State College and his M.S. in Counseling and Educational Psychology with a Marriage and Family Therapy emphasis from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Rob has worked therapeutically with youth since 1990.  Rob oversees the clinical/therapeutic component of Cedar Ridge.

Guidance Counselor/Owner

Pamela Nielson, B.A. in English from Knox College, M.Ed. from Utah State University, secondary education emphasis, M.Ed. from University of Nevada Las Vegas, school counseling emphasis.  Eighteen years experience in secondary public education, including 12 years classroom teaching, 6 years guidance counseling.  Admissions Director for Cedar Ridge since the program was founded in 1996.

Director of Operations/Owner

Wes Nielson, B.S. in Family and Human Development from Utah State University, M.S.  from University of Phoenix.  Wes helped found Cedar Ridge in 1996 and has been instrumental in its operation since the beginning.  Wes oversees residential life.

Admissions Director/Owner

Sean Haggerty, B.S. candidate for Masters in Social Work, Utah State University.  Staff trainer for Positive Control Systems, the system for de-escalating and managing emotionally aroused students.  Sean has been a behavior management specialist at Cedar Ridge since 1998.

Dean of Academics/Owner

Christine Haggerty, completed her B.S. in Secondary Education with a major in English Teaching and a minor in History Teaching from Utah State University in 2006. She has taught as a paraprofessional and then full time teacher for fourteen years. Christine teaches college preparatory senior English and Shotokan karate at Cedar Ridge Academy coed boarding school. She loves the martial arts, and spends much of her time as a coach for the Academy's karate team. Her personal hobbies include writing, drawing, and watching the Utah Jazz.

Nadine Nelson:  Accounts Receivable, Human Resources, Finances

Part of the Cedar Ridge team since 2005.

Shirley Page has worked for Cedar Ridge Therapeutic School since 2007. She has a B.S. in Literature from the University of Utah, and she puts her skills to use as our Administrative Assistant in the main office. Shirley helps to connect parents with the professionals in the office, and is always ready to answer questions on the phone.
