Some questions that parents frequently ask are:
Different therapeutic schools say they can help my child. How do I choose one?
Many schools are effective in helping the teens they work with. The best indicator of success is a good fit between the school and the family. We recommend visiting the campus of Cedar Ridge Therapeutic School and visiting our staff and students. It’s the best way to experience our atmosphere of emotional safety, our serene and beautiful surroundings, and our honest therapeutic work.
What if I can’t visit?

How often can I visit my child once they are enrolled?
Visits are determined by the therapeutic progress of the student and the therapeutic goals of the family. Our campus is year-round and available for family visits at any time as determined by the family and therapist.
What is the average length of enrollment in Cedar Ridge Therapeutic School?
On average, students are enrolled in Cedar Ridge Therapeutic School for fifteen months. The specific length of enrollment depends on therapeutic factors and the goals of the family. We encourage families to support their sons and daughters to graduate from the school, which provides them—and the family—with the greatest chance of a quality lifestyle after treatment.
Do you require that students complete a wilderness therapy program first?
We accept students who are most likely to benefit from our particular milieu. Some of our students attended a wilderness program, some of our students have transferred from another therapeutic placement, and some of our students enrolled directly from home.
How quickly can I enroll my son or daughter?
Our therapeutic school is open enrollment, year-round. Our admissions counselor is available to work with your situation and help you through the enrollment process at the rate you need and with which you are comfortable. We enroll students on any day of the week, any time of the year.
Katie’s college graduation is the perfect occasion to share with you how important her stay with you was and how it contributed to where she is today. It’s been eight years since her return from Utah and I watch her grow every year into a responsible, caring, hardworking, grounded and faith filled woman.
